Highly recommended!
Perfect school trip for School children. We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot about the rainforest animals, plants and their adaptation to their habitat. Highly recommended! From TripAdvisor
Love it here
We have visited several times and find it a fascinating place to visit. There's lots to see and do, especially for children. I particularly love the sloth. Was great watching her at feed time interacting with her patient team worker. Great to see the snakes and the learning session for kids is brilliant. From TripAdvisor
Great value
I came here with my daughter and grandchildren during the school summer holidays. Totally enjoyed our day, and came back again. It's fab that when you buy a ticket, it's valid for a whole year so can come back numerous times. The grandchildren were in awe of the sloth!!! Will definitely go back again, and again!!!From TripAdvisor
Good learning place for young children
Went with granddaughter, she loved it. There was a lot to see and do. There are quiz, colouring, dot to dot, find plants and animals and other pages of fun for the kids to do. As you walk around the massive greenhouses seeing lots of different types of plants and trees, you come across birds and animals, some in tanks and glass enclosures, some are wandering around with the visitors. There are frogs, lizard, snakes, fish and more. From TripAdvisor
Something for Everyone
I have visited this site a few times as an educator and the children always got a lot out of the visits. However, this was my first time as a visitor with time and focus on my own interests and we brought along friends to share the experience. What a fabulous place!!!! There were several (well-behaved) school parties sharing the day but there was plenty of room to move around and enjoy the space. It is wheelchair and buggy- friendly and there is a great backdrop of sound, with chirruping frogs and bird calls. The staff are a mixture of paid employees and volunteers and all were hard at work maintaining the flora and fauna but were never too busy to share information and welcome questions. There are amazing animals to see and clear fact cards placed around the areas to inform about both plants and animals. (We were stunned to see the Caiman and tickled to know its name was Chewy.)From TripAdvisor
After exploring, there are hand-washing facilities and a café before visiting the gift shop, which is stocked with sustainable gifts . Loved it! We shall return....
Nice time with our grandchildren at The living rainforest
We came here with three of our grandchildren after not coming here for quite a few years and we were glad we did come again . Our Grandchildren enjoyed seeing all the different plants and animals and wanted to go back round another time in case they miss anything they all want to come here again in the summer to see what some of the plants are like then. They also like the idea that you could sit outside in there garden and playarea area to have food and drink plus play and go back round the living rainforest after that again . They like the shop tooFrom TripAdvisor
Unexpected
Well the title of the review is unexpected because I had no idea what I was heading into. It turned out to be what can best be described as odd. Not bad odd but different odd. From TripAdvisor
At first I thought it was a tiny place that couldn't possibly take more than 20 minutes to go round. In reality we were there for 2 hours and had to leave because we had to head off home.
The thing that struck me was the way they'd managed to squeeze so much interest into a wonderfully tranquil place. There were strange plants that amazed us, interesting frogs, birds a sloth and even an armadillo.
If you get the chance I'd recommend you went but left yourself with plenty of time.
