Newbury Show road closure, 19–20 September: here's how to still reach us

This weekend, 19–20 September, Priors Court Road at M4 Junction 13 will be closed for Newbury Show – so if you’re planning a visit, you’ll need to take a short diversion. Don’t worry, we’re open as normal, and Cinnamon, Harry, Luigi and the rest of the gang are looking forward to seeing you!

What’s happening

M4 Junction 13 (Chieveley) will be fully closed in both directions for the show. The official diversion takes drivers down to the Robin Hood Roundabout in Newbury and back up the B4009 – it adds a bit of time, but it’s simple to follow.

Your best routes to us this weekend:

• from the M4: Exit at Junction 12 instead, and come via Bradfield
• from the A34: Come off at the East Ilsley exit
• coming via Newbury: Head straight up the B4009 from town – no need to go near Junction 13 at all

Whichever way you come, we’d suggest building in a little extra time and checking your preferred map app before you set off, as traffic around Newbury is expected to be busier than usual.

Still worth the detour

The animals don’t know it’s showground season – Cinnamon the sloth will still be out and about in the walkthrough, Edwin the toucan will be as nosy as ever, and there’s a hot drink waiting at the café whichever route you took to get here. Come rain or road diversion, we’re open as normal both days.
