Spooky fun this October half term!
Posted: 1 Oct 2026
October half term is creeping up, and we’ve got a cauldron full of October half term activities to keep little explorers busy at The Living Rainforest from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October. Best of all, everything is included in your Rainforest Pass.
Animal feeding sessions
Watch some of our rainforest residents tuck into their dinner up close, and find out more about what they eat and how they live.
Potion making
Budding witches and wizards can roll up their sleeves and stir up pungent brews with mysterious ingredients. Who knows what they’ll conjure up?
Spooky crafts
Our spooky craft sessions let children create frightfully good makes to take home and show off.
Bug tasting… if you dare!
For our bravest visitors, we’ll be serving up bug tasting at lunchtime. Will you dare to try a crunchy critter?
Optional fancy dress
Little witches, wizards and potion-makers are welcome to come in fancy dress! Just remember that the rainforest floor can get wet and muddy, so pair your costume with sturdy shoes or wellies.
Plan your visit
Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for session timings. We’ll see you in the rainforest… if you dare! 👻
