Roul-Roul Partridge

Rollulus rouloul

Rollulus rouloul

The Roul-Roul partridges can be seen all around the Amazonica Glasshouse. As you explore, watch your step — these little birds love to scurry along the paths or scratch through the leaf litter with their feet in search of food. The males are easy to spot with their bright red crests that look a bit like a Mohican hairstyle, while the females are dressed in striking green with a grey head. Both males and females have a vivid red ring around their eyes.
