White-rumped Shama

Copsychus malabaricus

Shama 4

The white-rumped shama can be found all around the Amazonica Glasshouse. You might see them darting in and out of the bushes, or more likely, you’ll hear their beautiful song echoing through the glasshouse. Males are glossy black on top with a rich chestnut breast and a long tail. Females look similar but are paler, with a dusty grey head, while still sharing the same chestnut-colored breast.
