We are delighted to announce that our newest resident, a stunning channel billed toucan called Edwin, has moved into his new enclosure. Edwin is settling in well and getting on with the Azara’s Agouti who is sharing the enclosure with him.

This species is one of the larger species of toucan. They rarely fly more than 100 metres at a time and prefer to bounce from branch to branch. They are normally found in the canopy of tropical forests but can also be seen in plantations and gardens. You can find out more about them here.

The channel billed toucan is one of over 650 species of animal and plant you can see at the Living Rainforest. You can join one of our fascinating guided tours to find out more about them. You can also check out some of the other amazing plants and animals on display on our what to see pages.
